Getting a PSP Theme is relatively easy and simple. All you need to do is download the ones you like and you are ready to go. If you are wondering how to install a PSP Theme on your device, this tutorial should be of some assistance to you.
If you have a PSP with original firmware, you should be aware that custom themes and certain dynamic themes will not work on it. You will need to find one that will work on a Original Firmware PSP. These are generally small files that fit into the Root / PSP / Theme folder. Simply copy and paste the theme that you have downloaded into this folder via a PC and disconnect the PSP. Go to the Themes section under the Settings tab and you should see your theme there.
If you have a PSP that runs on Custom Firmware, you will be happy to know that there are a few themes that have a bountiful of new properties. You will first need to check which PSP Firmware you are running. Ideally the M550 Gen D is the best available PSP Custom Firmware till date and supports a variety of themes. All you need to do is connect your PSP via the USB to your PC, drag and drop or copy and paste the downloaded file to the Root / OFW /PSP / Theme and then you need to disconnect and restart the PSP. Restart your PSP in recovery mode so that you can access the Cracked menu VSH mode. In the VSH mode, you will need to go to Advanced and turn on the needed plugins. There are other features which you can get from the VSH Menu. Do not tweak too much as you can stand a chance to brick the PSP. We take no responsibility for your PSP getting bricked so be careful. Restart the system and go to the Settings tab and look for the Theme that you have copied. Activate it and the PSP should restart now with the new theme. Custom Themes and Dynamic Themes work perfectly with a Custom Firmware Cracked PSP.

Thanks I would really appreciate any help I can get
I have a hacked psp 2000 with 5.50 GEN D-3 installed and it’s not reading any battery’s correctly. The “charge level” and “hours left” correspondingly are read at extremely low levels. For example: With a 91% 2200 mAh, the psp 2000 reads roughly 3 hours and 5 minutes. With a 100% 1200 mAh, the psp 2000 reads roughly 1 hour and 48 minutes. However when I put the same batterys into my alternative psp 2000 (5.50 GEN D-3) and/or my psp 3000 (6.20 OFW), the correct readings show: With a 90% 2200 mAh, the alternative psp 2000/3000 reads roughly 8 hours. With a 100% 1200 mAh, the alternative psp 200/300 reads roughly 4 hours and 20 minutes.
I just took my PSP out of the cupboard after a long time. It has the custom firmware 2.71 SE-B” installed. Since I’ve been out of the scene for quite a while I really have no clue where to start. I tried one of the threads in the tutorial section which advised me to update to 5.03 official firmware, but when I try doing that I get the “DADADADA” error (I guess because I already have a custom firmware). So what is the best method for me to get to the latest and greates custom firmware? And also, which one is the best custom firmware to use at the moment?
Is it possible to hack a psp 3000 oficial firmware 5.55?
